After going a solid 3-1 on my bets from Tuesday’s article, I hope to continue this positive trend as we head into Thursday night’s card. There are 5 game on tonight’s schedule and I believe there are a few solid looks within these games. With that, let’s dive into today’s picks…

Pick #1 – Jets -1 (+150 BS)

I am a big fan of the -1 lines. They are extremely profitable if you can find a spot where the ML is somewhat even, but you think your team has a much higher chance of winning. This is the case for me with the Winnipeg Jets tonight. The Blues are currently 5-6 at home this season, while the Jets are 6-4-1 on the road. The Jets will also be facing the Blues backup goalie tonight in Thomas Greiss, which is another reason to like this pick. The craziest stat is the fact that the Blues have lost by atleast 2 goals in every single loss this season. Now for hedging purposes I am taking the -1 line here, but based on that last statistic alone, the -1.5 line is looking extra juicy as well.

Pick #2 – Panthers/Red Wings 06.5 (-105 DK)

I think this is a good spot tonight because both teams have good stats based on location for this game tonight. Both teams score 3.7 goals per game (FLA at home, DET on the road) and allow atleast 3 per game as well. The Panthers are coming home after a long road trip, so I would think the Red Wings might even be able to pull out a victory here. They’ll most likely have to score atleast 4 to do so. I’m predicting a 4-3 victory for Detroit tonight.

Pick #3 – Joe Pavelski o2.5 Shots (-120 DK)

Joe Pavelski has a 50% hit rate on o2.5 shots this season, but that is not the reason why I like this spot. He has hit in 4/L5 games and is facing an Ottawa Senators team tonight that loves to give up PP chances and goals. Being on PP1, I really like Pavelski tonight and would even lean toward taking him to score as well.

Pick #4 – Predators/Lightning o6.5 (+100 DK)

With Brian Elliot in net tonight, I expect the Predators to be able to score a few. Elliot is 5-1 on the year, but has allowed atleast 3 goals in all but 1 game this year, which was against the Ducks (2 goals). The Lightning average 3.44 goals per game, which goes up to 3.9 when they are on home ice. Also, the Predators also allow 3.6 per game on the road, so everything lines up for an easy over in this game.

TLDR Summary

  1. Jets -1 (+150)
  2. Panthers/Wings 06.5 (-105)
  3. Pavelski o2.5 Shots (-120)
  4. Preds/Lightning o6.5 (+100)
