It’s another Tuesday filled with tons of hockey! Tonight, we have 9 games on the schedule and a ton of opportunities to make some money.
Let’s dive into today’s picks…
Pick #1 – Burakovsky o2.5 Shots (-112 BS)
Andre Burakovsky has a 50% hit rate on the season for o2.5 shots, averaging 2.8 shots per game. Although he is currently 6 of 14 at that number at home, I believe recency bias plays a big factor in these plays. He has hit in 4/L5 home games and 6/L7 games overall. He plays the Montreal Canadiens tonight at home, who allow the ~5th most shots to opposing LW.
Pick #2 – Jets ML (+100 DK)
Let’s face it, the Jets are a very good hockey team. When I first scanned the board tonight, I was very surprised to see the Jets at plus money at home. They will be facing the Panthers and Spencer Knight tonight. The Jets are 9-3 at home this season (75% win rate) and the Panthers are 6-7-1 on the road (57% lose rate). The Panthers are playing their 5th and last game on their recent road trip and have recently won their last two games. I expect the Jets to take advantage of a team who has been traveling a lot recently and win yet another game at home.
Pick #3 – Kings/Sens o6.5 (-115 BS)
Both the Kings and Sens are in the top half of the league in GA/G, 7th and 13th worst, respectively. On the flip side, both teams average over 3 goals per game. Both teams are also Top 10 in PP chances allowed and aren’t that good on the PK (Kings 73% and Sens 78%). I’m trusting the stats here and think a couple PPGs will help put us over this number. It’s important to note that the Kings are also starting Copley tonight. I don’t even know who that is, which should be all you need to know.
Pick #4 – Dobson o2.5 Shots (-165 DK)
Noah Dobson is a shooting monster at home. He averages 3.8 shots per game at home versus 2.3 on the road. On the season, Noah has a 62% hit rate on o2.5 shots, which increases to 77% at home. He is hitting at an 80% rate in his last 10 games and is facing the St. Louis Blues tonight, who allow the ~5th most shots to opposing D.
Pick #5 – Burns o2.5 Shots (-180 DK)
You very rarely see Burns at 2.5 shots and even though its very juiced at -180, this is still most likely a lock. Pairing Burns with another player (like Dobson) would be the move tonight. Burns has a hit rate of 64% on o2.5 shot props this season, averaging 3.6 shots per game. He faces the Anaheim Ducks tonight, who give up the most shots per game and the ~3rd most shots to opposing D.
TLDR Summary
- Burakovsky o2.5 Shots (-112)
- Jets ML (+100)
- Kings/Sens o6.5 (-115)
- Burns/Dobson o2.5 Shots (+149)
