Philadelphia Flyers prospect, Bryce Brodzinski, scores a hat trick against Canisius in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

The Hockey NCAA Tournament kicked off yesterday with Minnesota thrashing Canisius 9-2.

Flyers 2019 seventh round pick, Brodzinski notched three goals on his way to a four point night for the Golden Gophers.

A 22 year old senior at Minnesota, Brodzinski is having the best season of his college career, setting a new career high in goals (18) and points (29).

Bryce Brodzinski is a 6’0, 200 lb, right winger, from Blaine, Minnesota.

According to DobberProspects.com’s Tony Ferrari, here is the scouting report on Brodzinski from June, 2022:

“His skating is a work in progress but he has shown the ability to produced at each level he’s been at. He is a long term project but a worthwhile swing in the seventh round.”

Could the Flyers potentially have another player out of college fighting for a bottom six roll next season in Brodzinski?

He’s certainly flown under the radar as you would expect from a former seventh round pick but we’ll be keeping an eye on him through this NCAA tournament.

Minnesota face-off against St. Cloud State Saturday March 25, at 6:30pm

Note: Boston University toppled Western Michigan 5-1 as Jay O’Brien and Devin Kaplan advance as well.
