The Dallas Stars stopped in Philadelphia for their 3rd game of their current 4 game road trip to play the Philadelphia Flyers.

Coming into tonight the Stars had won their last 2 games while the Flyers had lost their previous 11.

Jake Oettinger got the call in goal for Dallas while Carter Hart manned the home cage for Philadelphia.

1st Period

Roope Hintz scored his 18th goal of the season with 2:14 left to play in the 1st period to give the Stars a 1-0 lead heading into the 2nd period. His 6th goal in his last 11 games. Justin Roberston had the loan assist on the goal, his 22nd helper of the season.

Dalles outshot Philadelphia 10-7 in the period as Oettinger stopped all 7 shots faced.

There were no penalties in the period.

2nd Period

Ivan Provorov scored 12:06 into the 2nd period as he threw a centering pass off John Klingberg’s skate and the puck deflected into the goal. Travis Konecny (17) and Justin Braun (8) were credited with assists.

Carter Hart stopped all 13 shots sent his way in the frame while Jake Oettinger stopped 9 of 10.

There were no penalties in the period.

3rd Period

Jacob Peterson wrists home his 7th of the season over the shoulder of Carter Hart at 16:35. Assisted by Alexander Radulov (12) and Ryan Suter (13).

Joe Pavelski fired home an empty netter (17) from near his own blue line at 1:37, assisted by Roope Hintz (16).

Jake Oettinger stopped all 11 shots faced in the period while Carter Hart stopped 12 of 13.

There were no penalties in the period.

Game Notes

The Flyers are now 0-9-3 during their 12 game losing streak and remain in last place in the Metro Division at 13-22-8.

The Stars move into a tie for the last wildcard spot in the Western Conference at 21-16-2.

Keith Yandle tied the NHL record for consecutive games played in a row set by Doug Jarvis when he played in 964 straight games from Oct. 8, 1975, until Oct. 10, 1987.

Roope Hintz has 6 goals 9 assists in his last 11 games played.

Jake Roberston has 8 goals and 9 assists in his last 11 games played after recording an assist in the 1st period.

Joe Pavelski has 8 goals and 15 assists in his last 13 games.
