The Philadelphia Flyers took a trip to Long Island to take on the New York Islanders in a Metro division show down with 2 bottom feeder teams. New York enters the contest having won 6 of their last 8 games with 2 wins over the Flyers on January 17 and 18, 4-1 and 4-3 respectively. Meanwhile the Flyers entered the contest losers of 12 straight, going 0-9-3 during the stretch, and continue to be winless in 2022.
