Ivan Fedotov was introduced to the media and fans today as the Russian goaltender finally made his way to Philadelphia. During the press conference, both Briere and Fedotov shared important insights.

First and foremost, Fedotov will replace Felix Sandstrom on the Flyers roster, with Sandstrom being sent back to Lehigh Valley.

The next order of business is a contract extension, which both Briere and Fedotov admitted to already being in the works.

Briere made a point to mention that the Flyers did not engage in any illegal actions throughout the process of acquiring Fedotov. He stated that they worked with the NHL and IIHF to ensure compliance with regulations.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly at present, Fedotov will be eligible to play for the Flyers in the playoffs if they qualify.
