Back to back wins and a week of rest was enough for the odds makers to deem Philadelphia (-112) the favorite for a rare occasion. Recent head to head history between these two tells a favorable story for the orange and black. The Flyers are 14-1 against the Red Wings in the last fifteen meetings in Philadelphia, 19-7 in the last twenty-six meetings overall and the home team is 24-8 in the last thirty-two contests.
