Flyers Seventh Round Pick Scores Again in Loss

Alexis Gendron scored his 14th goal of the playoffs Wednesday night for Gatineau.

Alexis Gendron scored his second goal of the series just seven seconds into the game against Quebec. That would be all Gatineau would score Wednesday night as Quebec ripped off three straight goals to end Gatineau’s season.

It was a hell of a season for the Flyers 2o22 seventh round pick.

After scoring 22 goals in 29 games for Blaineville-Boisbriand, Gendron was traded mid-season to Gatineau.

Gendron would waste little time adjusting to his new surroundings as he went on to score five goals in a single game for the Olympiques. In total for Gatineau, Gendron would finish with an astounding 33 goals in 34 games for his new team.

In total Gendron would finish the regular season with 55 goals in just 63 games between Gatineau and Blaineville-Boisbriand.

That wouldn’t be it for Gendron though as he went on to score 14 goals with 5 assists in just 13 playoff games.

Could it be possible the Flyers have struck gold in the last round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft?

Time will tell.
