The Flyers have claimed forward Lukas Sedlak off waivers from the Colorado Avalanche. In a corresponding move they have loaned forward Olle Lycksell back to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
At 29 years old, Sedlak played in three games with the Colorado Avalanche this season after signing as a free agent during the offseason. Sedlak is 6-foot, 205 pounds and has recorded 27 points in 165 NHL games with Columbus and Colorado.
A native of the Czech Republic, Sedlak totaled 121 points in 164 games in three KHL season from 2019-22. Sedlak racked up 48 points from 2013-15 in the AHL and represented the Czech Republic at the 2022 Olympics, captained the 2013 World Junior team and captained the 2011 Under-18 World Junior team.
He was selected by Columbus in the sixth round (158th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut on Oct. 21, 2016 vs. Chicago.
