If you’ve been following along, I had a pretty solid Tuesday night, going 2-1 (+1 unit) on my picks. The only miss was on a Cole Caufield goal. I rarely bet goals scored and he hit his shots number, so maybe that one is on me. Nonetheless, let’s continue this winning trend into tonights games. We have 11 games on the schedule tonight, which gives us a lot of opportunities to find some betting gems.

Let’s dive into tonight’s picks…

Pick #1 – FLA/VAN o7 (+135 DK)

This seems like an easy spot for tonight. We have two Top 10 teams in goals allowed per game. The Canucks are 3rd worst, with 3.78 GA/G. The Panthers are 10th worst, with 3.48 GA/G. Both teams also happen to score a lot. The Canucks are the 6th best, with 3.48 GF/G. The Panthers are 12th, with 3.35 GF/G. The Canucks have been over or on this number in 3/L5, while the Panthers have been on or over in 8 straight games. I’ll take the alternative line of over 7 here rather than over 6.5 because of these statistics, which bumps up the line from -115 to +135.

Pick #2 – Golden Knights -1 (+180 BS)

The Knights have won 10 of 12 on the road this year, while the Penguins have won just 4 of 9 at home. After losing their best defenseman in Kris Letang, I feel like the Penguins will struggle here defensively. Alex Pietrangelo is also out tonight for personal reasons, but that doesn’t discourage me from this pick. The Knights have been stingy on D all year, allowing just 2.63 goals per game, while the Penguins allowed 3.17 goals per game, even with Kris Letang. I think this game should be low scoring overall, so I’ll pray the empty netter wins me this one.

TLDR Summary:

  1. FLA/VAN o7 (+135)
  2. Knights -1 (+180)

I might add some additional plays later on, but I have had a busy day at work (hence the late article post), so I haven’t had much time to dig into the data. I will tweet a reply to this article if I happen to add anything.
