Happy Thanksgiving week! Since the majority of games are being played today and Wednesday, I decided to adjusted my article postings this week. Next week, I will go back to my normal Tuesday/Thursday article drops.

Last week, my articles were on both ends of the spectrum. On Tuesday (11/15) I was 7 of 8 for my picks. On Thursday (11/17), I was 1 of 7. Player props have been a crap shoot to start the year. I hate going against the statistics, but if these big losing days keep happening, I may have to switch my betting process a tad. Until then, we trudge onward and try to fuck our bookmakers tonight!

Let’s dive into today’s picks…

Pick #1 – Nico Hischier o2.5 Shots (-112 BS)

Nico Hischier has a hit rate of 71% for o2.5 shot props this season. He hit against the Oilers earlier in the month and is statistically a much better shooter at home this season. He shoots the puck 3.6 times per game at home versus 3.0 on the road. The Oilers rank 4th in the NHL at 34.7 shots against per game and allow the 2nd most shots to opposing centers.

Pick #2 – Pavel Buchnevich o2.5 Shots (-105 DK)

Pavel Buchnevich’s hit rate of 33% this season does not scream must bet whatsoever. However, with Vladimir Tarasenko injured, I like his chances to grab some of those available shots. He has hit over 2.5 shots in each of his last two games and will be playing on the 1st line tonight against the Ducks, who are 1st in the NHL with 38.1 shots against per game. The Ducks also allow the 4th most shots to opposing left wings.

Pick #3 – Mark Stone o2.5 Shots (+100 DK)

Mark Stone has a hit rate on o2.5 shots of 58% this season. He plays on the road tonight against the Vancouver Canucks, who allow the 11th most shots per game (33.2 shots) and allow the most shots to opposing right wings. Stone’s hit rate on the road is pretty consistent with his season hit rate, hitting 60%. He is also 6/10 in his last 10 games.

Pick #4 – Noah Hanifin o2.5 Shots (-145 DK)

Noah Hanifin has a hit rate on o2.5 shots of 69% this season (nice). He plays our Philadelphia Flyers tonight, who allow the 7th most shots per game in the NHL (34.1 shots). The Flyers also allow the 6th most shots to opposing defenseman. Hanifin has been very good on the road this season, hitting in 5/6 road games. I like him tonight, but at -145, I will pair him with another player instead of a straight play.

Honorable Mentions

There’s a handful of other players I like tonight, so for the purposes of this article I will list them out here. Not sure if I’ll take all of these players, but at the very least I will be pairing someone with Hanifin.

  • Brock Boeser o2.5 shots (-106 BS) –> Over in 4/L5  and 2/2 at home
  • Alex Pietrangelo o2.5 shots (-110 BS) –> Over in 4/L5, Canucks allow 8th most shots to opposing D
  • Shea Theodore o2.5 shots (-112 BS) –> Over in 4/L5, Canucks allow 8th most shots to opposing D
  • Dallas Stars shot props –> waiting for these lines to open up

Betting Summary

  1. Nico Hischier o2.5 Shots (-112) 1u
  2. Pavel Buchnevich o2.5 Shots (-105) 1u
  3. Mark Stone o2.5 Shots (+100) 1u
