The Philadelphia Flyers announced the club has acquired forward Brendan Lemieux and a 2024 fifth-round draft pick from the Los Angeles Kings.

In exchange the Flyers have traded Forward Zack MacEwen, according to President of Hockey Operations & General Manager, Chuck Fletcher.

Lemieux

Lemieux, 26, collected three assists and 53 penalty minutes (PIM) in 27 games with the Kings this season. The 6-foot-1, 213-pound native of Denver, Col., owns 63 points in 257 career NHL games in parts of six seasons (2017-23) with Winnipeg, New York Rangers and Los Angeles.

The left-shot forward has one goal and 18 penalty minutes in eight career Stanley Cup Playoff games. He collected a career-high 18 points in 59 games during the 2019-20 campaign with the Rangers. He was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round (31st overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut with the Jets on Oct. 20, 2017 vs. Minnesota.

MacEwen

MacEwen, 26, collected 18 points, 164 penalty minutes and four game-winning-goals in 121 games with the Flyers in two seasons (2021-23). He owns 27 points and 233 penalty minutes in 176 career NHL contests in five seasons (2018-23) with Vancouver and Philadelphia. The Flyers claimed MacEwen off waivers from the Canucks on Oct. 13, 2021.
