OK so last week was our first ever Power Ranking list and apparently the Minnesota Wild were pissed we left them out of the top 10 because they’ve been on an absolute tear! Yes that’s right, the Minnesota Wild, winners of 7 straight games, are now just 1 point behind last week number 1 in our rankings, the Colorado Avalanche. Over the last decade Minnesota has never really had THAT guy, but that’s changed with the emergence of rookie “Kirill the thrill” Kaprizov. Find out below where Minnesota ends up in our rankings! Also “LWR” stands for “Last Week’s Rank”. Cool, have fun!
- Colorado Avalanche (31-10-4/LWR:1) – The Avs dropped a game to St.Louis but were missing Mikko Rantanen.
- Carolina Hurricanes (31-10-6/LWR:2) – Carolina is now 10-3-3 against teams from Florida. That’s good.
- Vegas Golden Knights (34-11-2/LWR:3) – Vegas is on a 9 game win streak. That’s also good.
- Washington Capitals (31-13-4/LWR:5) – The Caps swept a tough 2 game set vs NYI 1-0 and 6-3.
- Tampa Bay Lightning (32-14-2/LWR:4) – Tampa got whooped by Carolina but they’re good & still missing Kucherov.
- Florida Panthers (31-13-5/ LWR:6) – Florida went 3-1 last week and split a 2 gamer with the Canes’.
- Pittsburgh Penguins (32-14-3/ LWR:9) – The Pens beat up on the Devils this week & are a point out of 1st in the East.
- Toronto Maple Leafs (30-13-5/ LWR:8) – Weird week for the Leafs but the teams coming up aren’t better than them.
- New York Islanders (29-14-5/ LWR:7) – 2 big losses against the Capitals has Islander fans a little worried.
- Minnesota Wild (31-13-3/NR) – The newbies on the list, Minnesota has won 7 straight as they’ve beaten up on ARZ, SJ, & LA
