As the Philadelphia Flyers enter the final stretch of the season with only 22 games left, their impressive performance and recent roster moves set the stage for a suspenseful battle to secure a playoff spot against formidable opponents.
;
With 22 games remaining in the regular season, the Flyers currently sit at 31-22-7 with 69 points on the season. Good enough for third place in the Metropolitan division. As we look ahead, we’ll find the Flyers have a tough road to finish out the regular season.
It can be said that the Flyers have been playing their best hockey in years and it’s not close. The fight and resilience of this year’s team is something that Flyers fans rave about. They’ll need to play with fight and resilience in the upcoming games as they face-off against a bevy of Stanley Cup contenders.
The Flyers finish the season with eight games against Metro division teams and 11 against the Atlantic. They also still have two remaining teams from the Central division and one against the Pacific. They have a lot of work ahead if they want to remain in playoff position.
The Flyers have played pretty decent against the four divisions as you can see below:
vs Atlantic – 5-6-2
vs Metro – 8-8-2
vs Pacific – 8-6-1
vs Central – 10-2-2
The organization has also made a few roster moves as they’ve recalled two players from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in Ronnie Attard and Felix Sandstrom. Cal Petersen has been sent down to Lehigh after clearing waivers.
Will they help the Flyers clinch a playoff spot? How many more opportunities will they get with the big club?
Only time will tell.
