Gambler’s Guide Tampa Bay Lightning @ Philadelphia Flyers

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Philadelphia Flyers

Playing the Lightning for the third time in as many weeks, the Flyers are 0-1-1 in the previous two meetings with Tampa Bay. After a rough 1 for 5 showing in the Rangers game the Gambler’s Guide is looking to get back on track. All odds from Draftkings Sportsbook.

Money Line and Total

The Lighting (-110) enter this game as the favorite, this is the third straight game they will be the favorite. Tampa Bay has lost three of their last five road games and their playing the second of a back to back, third game in four nights and fourth game in six.

Entering tonight’s game as the underdog for the fourteenth consecutive game the Flyers actually have an opportunity to turn things around here. Just two weeks ago they played the Lighting to a 5-4 shootout loss and they’re well rested having only played one game in the last six days.

Three of the last five games between these two have been decided by two goals are less, the fatigue factor and the Lightning starting their back up goaltender are the difference in this one, take the Flyers outright.

The total is set at 6 (O +100, U -120) tonight and historically these teams hit that number, the over is 38-18-4 in the last sixty meetings between these two. The over is also 5-1 in the last six meetings in Philadelphia. The over is the bet tonight.

Player Props

  • Cam Atkinson Over 2.5 Shots on Goal +115

Atkinson is averaging 2.9 shots on a goal a game for the year and has hit 4 shots on goal in three of his last four games. It also looks like Atkinson has been moved back up to the first power play unit which should lead to even more chances to get the puck at the net.

Team Props

  • Flyers Over 2.5 Goals -150

Despite their recent struggles the Flyers have scored 3+ goals in six of ten home games. They’re also averaging over thirty shots a game, 31.04, this damn is about to break and against a tired team with their back up goalie is as good of an opportunity as the Flyers could ask for.

Game Props

  • Both Teams to score 2+ Goals, Yes -215

This game profiles as a high scoring Flyers win, Philadelphia has allowed 4+ goals in six of their last seven games so they’re going to have to put up points of their own to pull this one out. Brian Elliot is 2-1-1 on the year with a 3.16 goals against average, setting the Flyers’ offense up for success.
