Philadelphia Flyers vs Los Angeles Kings
After a disappointing 3-2 overtime loss in San Jose the Flyers head to LA to take on the Kings and try to keep their point streak alive. The Gambler’s Guide went 2 for 5 in San Jose and looks to get on the right side of .500 tonight. All odds per Draftkings Sportsbook.
Money Line and Total
The Flyers (+135) are once again the underdog and the trends at first appear to favor them. Philadelphia is 4-1 in their last five against a team with a losing record, 6-2 in their last eight versus the Pacific Division and 13-5 against the Western Conference. The Flyers are also 5-2 in their last seven overall.
LA seems to be set up to fail in this contest, they’re 4-10 in their last fourteen against the Metro Division and 1-6 following their last seven victories. However it should be noted that the Kings are 5-2 in their last seven meetings against the Flyers.
While it seems like the Flyers are set up for the upset tonight the Kings have only lost eight games all year by 2 or more goals, this will be a close contest. With the Flyers being the underdog, the puck line Flyers +1.5 (-180), looks good tonight.
The total for tonight’s matchup is set at 5.5 (O -115, U -105). The trends send mixed messages for this contest. On LA’s side the under is 8-2-1 in their last eleven overall, 4-1 in their last five home games and 7-2 in their last nine against the Metro Division.
For Philadelphia the over is 6-2 in their last eight on one day’s rest and 4-0 when they scored 2 or less goals in their previous game. LA has seen 5 or less goals in seven of their last nine and the Flyers have seen 5 or less goals in three of their last four, take the under tonight.
Player Props
- Alex Iafallo Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-130)
Iafallo is averaging 2.87 shots on goal a game for the season and as it has been documented all season long here, the Flyers give up a plethora of shots against, 35 a game to be exact, expect Iafallo to get his pucks on net tonight.
Game Props
- Both Teams to Score 2+ Goals (-165)
Once again a Flyers game has the potential to go off. Philadelphia has seen both teams score at least 2 goals in six of their last seven games, while the Kings have seen both teams hit 2+ goals in two of their last three.
First Goal Before 9:30 (-125)
The Flyers have witnessed the first goal happen before the 9:30 mark in six of their last seven games. This is one of the waves to ride until the wheels fall off.
