Philadelphia Flyers @ New York Rangers
Our Flyers have dropped six straight games as they head to New York to take on the Rangers tonight. The Gambler’s Guide hit 3 out of 5 for the Devil’s game and will try to keep it going today. All odds from Draftkings Sportsbook.
Money Line and Total
Once again the Flyers will be the underdogs (+160) for tonight’s game, this makes it thirteen games in a row for Philadelphia. The Flyers have had plenty of recent success against the Rangers though, going 6-2 in their last eight against New York and 13-5 over the last eighteen. However they’re 0-4 in their last four games as road underdogs.
Entering tonight’s contest as the favorite, the Rangers (-190) have been looking great lately, 7-1 overall in their last eight, 4-0 as a home favorite and 4-0 in their last four against the Metro. Five of the last eight meetings between these two teams have been decided by 1 goal, if the Flyers were playing better coming into this one taking them outright would be enticing, as it is though the Flyers +1.5 (-150) is the better bet for tonight.
The total sits at 6 (Over -110, Under -110) and the trends are leaning towards the over. The over is 7-3 in the Rangers last ten games overall and the over is 4-2 in the Flyers last six. Four of the last seven contests between these two have seen 7 or more goals. While it’s a close call, the over looks good again tonight.
Player Props
- Joel Farabee over 0.5 points (+115)
Farabee has been hot lately with goals in three straight games. He’s also earning a decent amount of power play time averaging over two minutes a game (2:06) and likely to be placed on the top line with Sean Couturier tonight.
Team Props
- Rangers over 3.5 goals (-110)
While 4 goals is a lot recent games show that it’s not exactly unlikely with the way these two teams are playing. New York has scored 4 or more goals in three straight games and six of their last eight. Meanwhile Philadelphia has allowed their opponents to score 4+ goals in five of their last six games.
Game Props
- Both teams to score 2+ goals, Yes (-210)
Why the Rangers are going to score 2+ goals has already been covered but the Flyers putting up 2 or more goals might seem a little more unlikely. However Philadelphia has scored 2+ goals in seven of their last nine games and reached at least 2 goals in three of their last four matchups with the Rangers.
The Five for Tonight
- Flyers +1.5 (-150)
- Over 6 (-110)
- Joel Farabee Over 0.5 Points (+115)
- Rangers Over 3.5 Goals (-110)
- Both Teams to Score 2+ Goals, Yes (-210)
