Philadelphia Flyers @ Arizona Coyotes
The Flyers stopped the bleeding with a win over the Golden Knights yesterday, obviously fueled by High and Wide Hockey’s #BroadStreetBag movement. Now they take on an Arizona Coyotes team they beat 3-0 the last time they saw them. The Gambler’s Guide is looking for redemption after a 1 for 5 performance last night. All odds are from Draftkings Sportsbook.
Money Line and Total
The Orange and Black (-150) are finally a favorite again and that spells good news according to betting trends. The Flyers are 7-2 in their last nine against teams with a losing record and 11-4 in their last fifteen versus the Western Conference.
The Coyotes (+130) have struggled as home underdogs and basically just playing at home in general, probably nervous about not paying their rent for a year and half. Arizona is 0-4 in their last four as home underdogs and 3-14 at home in their last fifteen overall.
This might be just Flyers bravado talking here but the Coyotes have only won two home games all year and they have suffered seven home losses by 2 or more goals, not only will the Flyers win outright, they’ll cover the puck line (-1.5 +155) as well.
The total is just 5.5 (O -120, U +100) tonight which is probably a result of the Coyotes not having scored more than 2 goals in six games and the Flyers only scoring 3+ goals twice in the last six games However the Flyers have put up 4 or more goals in two of their last three games and Arizona has given up 4+ goals in three of their last four. The over is also 8-0 in the last eight the Flyers are road favorites, 4-0 in the last four and 11-3 in the last fourteen in meetings in Arizona between these two teams. Take the over again tonight.
Player Props
- Travis Konecny Over 2.5 Shots on Goal -110
Konecny is averaging 2.76 shots on goal per game on the year, he has a secure role in the top six forward group, averaging 17:12 minutes of ice time. He also is clocking in with 2:42 minutes of average power play time a night, it also doesn’t hurt that the Coyotes are giving up 33 shots a game.
Team Props
- Flyers Over 3.5 Goals +115
The Flyers have hit this goal total in two of their last three games, they’ve been averaging over thirty shots a game, 30.92, and it finally seems to be paying off. In addition to the Flyers increased offensive production the Coyotes have allowed 4 or more goals in three of their last four games.
