Philadelphia Flyers vs Anaheim Ducks
The Flyers watched their seven game point streak evaporate against the Kings, now they stop in Anaheim to take on the Ducks and wrap up their California road trip. The Gambler’s Guide hit 3 for 5 against LA and looks to stay on the right side of .500 tonight. All odds from Draftkings Sportsbook,
Money Line and Total
The Flyers (+135) surprise, surprise are the underdog again tonight. They were going to be the underdog anyway but after Giroux and Provy got ruled out the lined moved from +125 to +135, honestly Provorov probably didn’t factor into the line movement all that much but Giroux has been the Flyers best player all season. Even before Giroux’s absence things weren’t looking good for the Flyers, they’re 5-13 in their last eighteen overall, 3-9 in their last twelve road games and 2-8 in their last ten as a road underdog. But the Flyers are 4-0 in the last four matchups between these two.
The Ducks (-160) have been ice cold since play started back up from the winter break and will be without exciting forwards Trevor Zegras and Adam Henrique. Anaheim is 7-1 in their last eight as favorites, 5-1 in their last six as home favorites and 9-2 in their last eleven games against teams with losing records. In the last fourteen contests between these teams the favorite is 10-4.
Despite their recent struggles and both organizations missing some key player the Ducks are the better team and should win at home tonight. Over their last nine losses Philadelphia has lost seven of them by 2 or more goals, the Ducks -1.5 (+160) is the bet tonight.
The total is set at 5.5 (O -105, U -115) for tonight’s matchup and the lean is slightly to the over. The Flyers haven’t had a game feature less than 5 goals in nearly a month, Nov 8, but the Ducks have only hit 6+ goals once in their most recent three games. The over is 9-3 in their last twelve matchups in Anaheim and the over is 9-4 in the Ducks last thirteen as a home favorite. Take the over tonight.
Player Props
- Cam Atkinson Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-115)
Atkinson is averaging 2.87 shots on goal for the year and has reached 5+ shots on goal in two of his last four games. With Giroux out expect Cam to see increased five on five time and a bigger power play role. It also helps that the Ducks are averaging 32.4 shots against a game.
Game Props
- Both Teams to Score 2+ Goals (-125)
The game sets up as a high scoring affair with both teams offering up mediocre defenses. Despite Anaheim disappointing offensively in recent games, less than 2 goals in two of their last three games, the Flyers can cure any offensive ailment. Philadelphia has seen their opponents score 3+ goals in four of their last five. Expect both teams to find the scoresheet multiple times tonight.
- First Goal Before 9:30 (-125)
Here at the Gambler’s Guide we’ve been riding this current Flyers streak, Philadelphia has seen the first goal before this mark in seven of their last eight games. Let’s ride this one until the wheels fall off.
Five for the Night

- Over (-105)
