Calgary Flames @ Philadelphia Flyers 11/16/21
Our Philadelphia Flyers are hosting the Calgary Flames tonight and I’m breaking down my favorite bets for tonight here in the Gambler’s Guide. All odds are from Draftkings Sportsbook.
- Moneyline and Total
Coming off their 5-2 loss to the Stars, the Flyers are the underdogs at home against the Flames at +100. Philadelphia has been alternating wins and losses for their last eight games and they’re a respectable 3-2-1 at home. The Flames are in the middle of a seven game road trip and despite having just beaten Ottawa 4-0 they’ve dropped five of their last seven games. The last time these two teams met the Flames won 4-0 in Calgary.
In the last five games between these two the Flames are 5-0. Philadelphia at +100 seems like the best bet in this one.
The total is set at 5.5 and the under has been hot for both of these teams recently despite the 7 goal outburst the Flyers just had with Dallas. For the Flames the under is 4-0 in games following a win, 4-1 in their last five games when their opponent scores 2 or less goals in the previous game and 4-0 when the Flames allowed 2 or less goals the previous game. Calgary’s games have featured 6 goals just once in their last four games.
On Philadelphia’s side the under is 4-0 when their opponent allows 2 or less goals in their previous game, is 7-1 overall in the last eight games and is 6-1 in the last seven games that the Flyers are the underdog. Philadelphia’s games have had a combined 3 or less goals in four of their last six games. The under looks like the bet tonight.
- Player Props
Travis Konecny Over 2.5 shots on goal +125/Over .5 power play points +370
Konecny is averaging 2.92 shots on goal for the year, has reach 3 or more shots on goal in three straight games and four of his last five. The Flames are averaging over 3 power plays against per game (3.26) and Konecny is averaging 2:47 of power play time a game. Both of these look good individually but are tempting as a parlay as well.
- Game Props
Both teams to score 2+ goals, No +130
With the under being hot for both of these teams lately, there have been few games for both franchises that have seen both teams score 2 goals or more in a game. For the Flyers it’s only happened twice in the last eight games. Calgary has only seen both teams score 2 goals just once in their last five.
