Colorado Avalanche @ Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers are licking their wounds after taking a beating at the hands of the Lighting last night but they have to regroup quickly for a matchup with the Avalanche today. Due to the Flyers inability muster anything that resembles an offense the Gambler’s Guide went 2 for 5 yesterday.
Money Line and Total
The Avalanche (-200) enter tonight’s game as the favorite, they’ve been favorites in nine of their last ten games. The trends look good for the Avs too, 6-1 in their last seven versus the Eastern Conference, 40-13 in their last fifty-three against teams with losing records and in their last fifty-eight games as a favorite they’re 43-15.
Tonight’s game makes it fifteen in row that the Flyers (+170) will be the underdog and it’s not looking good for them tonight. Philadelphia is 1-9 in their last ten in the second half of back to backs, 1-5 in their last six as a home underdog and 9-25 in their last thirty-four against teams with winning records. The Flyers might make it interesting because they’ve been highly unpredictable but the Avalanche are the bet tonight.
This game has a high total, 6.5 (Over -105, Under -115) but Colorado’s games have hit 7+ goals in six of their last eight and Flyers’ games have hit the mark in three of their last four. The over is 9-2-1 in the last twelve that the Avs were favorites, 9-3-1 the last thirteen times the Avs played a team with a losing record and 20-8-2 in their last thirty overall. The over has also hit in the Flyers last four home games and is 4-1-1 in the Flyers last six against the Central Division. Take the over again tonight.
