Frost Signs and Michkov Plays

Flyers fans had been waiting all summer for two things and they both happened on Tuesday.

Let’s start with the good news first. Well. I guess it’s all good news aside from the fact that the seventh overall pick of the 2023 NHL Draft only played six minutes in his first game for SKA St. Petersburg.

Yeah that’s not great. For excited Flyers fans who are now watching KHL games for Michkov, the start to the season has been a disappointment to say the least. St. Petersburg fell to 2-1 on the season as they lost to Torpedo, the first time Michkov cracked the lineup.

The game was played with a physical style and there wasn’t much room on the ice for either side.

Michkov’s night pretty irrelevant during the six minutes he did play aside from breaking up a scoring chance for Torpedo during the second period. Whoop-De-Do.

So yeah. SKA St. Petersburg next play Lokomotiv on Friday.

Frost Inks New Deal

Morgan Frost Signs two-year, $4.2m deal Tuesday night with an AAV of $2.1m a season.

Frost will be a restricted free agent once his deal expires in 2025 with a qualifying offer of $2.4m.
