Flyers Sign Tippett to New Deal


Flyers sign RFA Owen Tippett to two-year, $3m contract. 

“The Philadelphia Flyers have signed right wing Owen Tippett to a two-year contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $1.5M, according to President of Hockey Operations & General Manager, Chuck Fletcher.”

A first round pick (10th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by Florida. Tippett spent five seasons with the Panthers organization, bouncing back and forth between Charlotte of the AHL and Florida.

The 6’2, 207-pound power forward record 6 goals and 14 points in 42 games last season for the Panthers

While with the Charlotte Checkers (AHL), Tippett recorded 18 points in just 12 games.

Tippett along with a 2024 first round pick, was acquired at last seasons Trade Deadline for Flyers Captain Claude Giroux along with Connor Bunnaman, German Rubstov and the Flyers’ fifth round pick in 2024.

While with the Flyers Tippett amassed seven points, four being goals, in 21 games.

“A native of Peterborough, Ontario, Tippett was selected in the first round (10th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by Florida. He spent parts of five seasons in the Panthers organization where he recorded 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points in 94 regular season games and four points (1g-3a) in six Stanley Cup Playoff games for Florida.”
