The Flyers acquired Massimo Rizzo’s rights along with a 5th round pick in a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes on August 9th, 2023, in exchange for David Kase.
Since then, Rizzo has had an impressive collegiate season, leading DU to a National Title.
Rizzo achieved a new career high in assists with 34 and came within two points of tying his overall career high, despite missing over a month of the season.
Originally a seventh round pick by the Hurricanes in 2019, Rizzo has not yet received a contract offer from the Flyers.
