Boston University steamrolled Western Michigan in the first round of College Hockey’s NCAA Tournament, 5-1.
Philadelphia Flyers prospect, Jay O’Brien, contributed with an assist on Lane Huston’s goal in the victory, while 2022 third round pick, Devin Kaplan, was held scoreless.

While it wasn’t the four-point-night fellow Flyers prospect, Bryce Brodzinski had, O’Brien’s contributions should not go unnoticed.
A 2018 first round pick, O’Brien is having his best year yet with BU, as he’s racked up 24 assists and 31 points, both career highs at the university.
At 23 years old, the Flyers will have to make a decision on whether to sign O’Brien after this season. Here’s to hoping he continues to play well and make the decision tough on the organization.
Boston University will face Cornell in the second round of the tournament on Saturday, March 25th at 4pm.
