Philadelphia Flyers could be open to signing a veteran UFA defenseman for the 3rd Defense Pair (Keith Yandle ~could~ be an option)
The sense I got in talking to some Flyers staff the other day is that they don't want to box out Cam York (or Zamula) but they also don't want to just pre-determine him ready right now for full-time NHL spot. As such, they could be open to vet on a one-year for LD3 or depth.

Philadelphia Flyers are OUT of the Dougie Hamilton Sweepstakes
Friedman on 31TP: "From what I understand, Carolina's target area, at least at the beginning for (Dougie) Hamilton was Torey Krug, which is 7-years, $45.5M… I don't think that's going to do it and I think the one team we are all kind of looking at is New Jersey."

EF cont'd: "Chicago is out of the picture, Philly is out of the picture, I don't think that's what Seattle wants to do, i think they had some interest. I think some other teams like Montreal and Toronto have asked around seeing if there was something creative they can do."

Flyers could pursue UFA forward Alexander Wennberg in free agency
Another name to watch for #Flyers is Alexander Wennberg. Hearing PHI have been quietly doing their due diligence on Wennberg who is coming off a nice rebound year with FLA. $$$ would have to be right ($2.25M last year) but would be great 3C & a huge add to PK. #AnytimeAnywhere
