Flyers Off Season Updates and Rumor Mill Summary for July 25th

The NHL offseason has a lot of moving parts and It can be hard to keep up, especially with a large offseason due up for the Philadelphia Flyers. There are a lot of rumors that float around, often from both fake sources and credible sources. This is a new daily update mill that I want to start in order to provide quick updates (attached with sources/tweets) in order to address daily rumors that you might see on your twitter feed, or for those who don’t have twitter: these updates can come to your attention.

Flyers are interested in UFA centers Nick Bonino and Derek Stepan to fill the 3C Role

Expect the #Flyers to add a depth centre by Wednesday or Thursday.

Flyers are extending interest in UFA goaltenders Jonathan Bernier, James Reimer and Jaroslav Halak

And then everyone took a breath. Checked in Sunday with GMs Don Waddell, Ron Francis, Bill Zito, Jarmo Kekalainen, Bill Armstrong and Chuck Fletcher after a crazy 7-10 days. And there’s more fun ahead.

Bernier got a low ball offer from Canes for the pending UFA. Carolina is incredibly frugal when it comes to paying goalies. Also keep an eye out for Laurent Brossoit as a potential UFA option. Perhaps circle back on Holtby. Canucks won’t retain $ as of now. https://t.co/etvKX38wOq
