Flyers Make Surprising Roster Cuts


Flyers have reduced their camp roster number to 34

The Philadelphia Flyers announced more cuts today and there was a surprise name on the list.

According to President of Hockey Operations & General Manager, Chuck Fletcher, the Flyers chose to reduce their roster in cutting the following 10 players:

Forwards Tyson Foerster, Olle Lycksell, defensemen Adam Ginning, Adam Karashik, and Cam York, and goaltender Pat Nagle were all sent to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Wednesday afternoon.

Forwards Adam Brooks, Max Willman, and defenseman Louie Belpedio were placed on waivers with the intent on assigning them to Lehigh Valley.

Forward J.R. Avon was assigned to the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

The Flyers start their season next Thursday night at home against the New Jersey Devils.
