The Philadelphia Flyers have claimed former 2016 first round pick, Kieffer Bellows on waivers from the New York Islanders.
Bellows, just 24 years old, played in one game with the Islanders this season. He’s recored 25 points, 25 penalty minutes, four game-winning goals (GWG) and 109 shots in 68 career games in four seasons with New York (2019-23).
Bellows was selected by the Islanders in the first round (19th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft. He tallied his first NHL point (assist) in his NHL debut on Feb. 4, 2020 vs. Dallas.
The Philadelphia Flyers host the Florida Panthers tonight at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Center. The game will be broadcasted on NBCSP and 97.5 The Fanatic.
