After finishing yesterday 1-2 and -1.1u overall, were back again. I felt like I was right on the cusp of having a fantastic day, the chips just didn’t fall in our favor.
Like I mentioned in yesterday’s article, I hate when there is just one game on. It makes betting that much more difficult. Once Wednesday and Thursday’s cards come along, I think we will have an easier time making selections.
One positive did come out of yesterday’s bets. I successfully picked the Predators to win, which got me $200 in free bets on DraftKings! I will save most of it for the bigger cards later this week, but we will definitely have fun with some with it today.
As for today’s picks, since there is only one game, I am going to play it more cautiously than I did yesterday. I will however, run it back with one of the bets I lost in yesterday’s card.
Bet #1 – Roman Josi o3.5 shots (+120, Caesars)
After a so-so day yesterday, we are going right back to the Roman Josi shot prop. Statistically, it is still my favorite player to target between these two teams. He averaged 3.5 shots per game last year, hitting on 03.5 shot props 46% of the time. Against the Sharks, he averaged 7.3 shots per game.
In yesterday’s tilt, Josi had 3 shots on goal, missed the net once and had 3 shot attempts blocked. The effort was there, we just got unlucky. I predict Josi will once again be firing the puck, but this time we (I) will prevail.
Honorable Mention – Filip Forsberg PowerPlay Point (+205, DK)
I am going to continue to add other picks as honorable mentions to my articles. I want it known that I will not be taking these bets, but I still want to mention some other picks that I do like because of trends or some other various reasons.
Nashville had an extremely successful PowerPlay last season. They had a 24.4% success rate, which placed them amongst the Top 10 teams in the league.
Their PP unit looked pretty good yesterday, but they did not come out with a goal. That is why we are targeting PowerPlay Points today for the Predators. And if anyone is going to get a point, it will be Filip Forsberg. He scored a point in 74% of his games last season.
TLDR – Betting Summary
- Roman Josi 03.5 shots (+120, Caesars) 2u
