We got 12 hockey games on tonight! That mean’s we have tons of opportunity to fuck our bookmakers and make some money. I am currently 4-1 in the past two nights (+5.9u) so we’re riding the hot hand and making some big plays tonight.
Let’s dive in to tonight’s bets…
Bet #1 – Fiala/DeBrusk o2.5 Shots (+269)
I really like the Kings/Penguins game for shots tonight. To me, Kempe, Fiala and Malkin are all decent picks for this game. I am going with Fiala here because he has the best line at -125. He hit on over 2.5 shots 67% of the time last season; however, this season he has only hit in 1 of 5 games. In 4 of those games, he was stuck at 2 shots. I trust him to break through tonight in a game where I’m expecting lots of shots and lots of goals.
The Boston Bruins are another shot target tonight. They are playing the Ducks who have allowed an average of 42 shots per game so far this year. We targeted the Devils when they played the Ducks the other night and swept the board, so let’s do it again tonight. Jake DeBrusk didn’t have the greatest of hit rates last season at 40%, but he has hit in 100% of his game so far this season and plays on the Bruins top line.
Bet #2 – Svechnikov/Pettersson o2.5 Shots (+230)
Andrei Svechnikov was great last season, averaging 3.2 shots per game and hitting on over 2.5 shots 64% of the time. He was 2 for 2 last season against the Oilers, averaging 3 shots per game. This year, he has hit in 2 of 3 games and the Oilers have allowed an average of 34 shots per game. This feels like an easy hit tonight.
Like DeBrusk above, I am also riding the hot hand of Elias Pettersson. He too only had a hit rate of 40% last year, but this is a new year. He seems to be firing the puck, averaging 3.5 shots per game so far this season. The Wild have also allowed an average of 35 shots per game so far this year.
Bet #3 – Panarin Point & Reilly Smith o2.5 Shots (+181)
Both Panarin and Smith have been automatic in these categories to start the year. I expect that trend to continue tonight. Panarin averaged a point in 69% (nice) of his games last year and is facing the Sharks, who have allowed an average of 3.8 goals per game so far this season. Smith averaged over 2.5 shots in 46% of his games last year. The Jets have allowed an average of 35 shots per game to start the year.
Bet #4 – Jake Guentzel o3.5 Shot (+115)
The Kings have struggled so far to start this season, allowing 35 shots per game. Guentzel averaged 3.5 shots per game last season, hitting on over 3.5 shots 41% of the time. He averaged 4 shots per game against the Kings last year. He has also hit this mark in 2 of 3 game so far this season.
Bet #5 – Nazem Kadri o3.5 Shots (+115)
Kadri averaged 3.5 shots per game last season, 4 shots per game against the Sabres. He hit on over 3.5 shots in 51% of his games last year and has hit in 2 of 3 games so far this season. Against a Sabres team that has allowed 40 shots per game to start the season, I expect Kadri to get his shots tonight.
TLDR – Betting Summary
- Fiala/DeBrusk o2.5 Shots (+269) 1u
- Svechnikov/Pettersson o2.5 Shots (+230) 1u
- Panarin Point & Smith o2.5 Shots (+181) 1u
- Guentzel o3.5 Shots (+115) 1u
- Kadri o3.5 Shots (+115) 1u
We essentially only need two of these to hit tonight to break even. If only a specific two of these hit, we will be in the green. Any hits over 2 and we are 100% in the green!
