Yesterday, I went 2-2, breaking even on the day overall (+0.1u). Anytime you break even on the night, I count that as a win (insert Hulk “Absolute Win” meme here). Now, let’s dive into my 5-plus money bets I have for you all tonight!
Bet #1 – Trouba/Hertl o1.5 Shots (+140)
It’s always fun when you can find players with 1.5 shot lines that clearly shouldn’t be available. Jacob Trouba hit on over 1.5 shots in 70% of his games last season, averaging 2.5 shots per game. Tomas Hertl hit on over 1.5 shots in 78% of his game last season, also averaging 2.5 shots per game. Both players have hit over 1.5 shots in each of their game so far this year.
Bet #2 – Nikita Kucherov Goal (+140)
Kucherov has scored in each of his last 8 games against the Blue Jackets. Last season, he averaged a goal in 45% of his games. Kucherov also did not tally a goal on Tuesday, so I think he’ll get his first goal of the year tonight. This line is apparently +160 on Caesar’s Sportsbook, so take that line if you can.
Bet #3 – Timo Meier o3.5 Shots (+105)
I love me some Timo Meier. He had the 3rd most shots in the NHL last season, averaging 4.2 shots per game. He hit on o3.5 shots 62% of the time and has hit in both of his games this year so far.
Bet #4 – Kyle Connor o3.5 Shots (+120)
Kyle Connor finished right behind Timo Meier in SOG last year, coming in 4th place in the NHL. He averaged 4 shots per game and hit on o3.5 shots 53% of the time. I don’t know why both these players are plus money tonight, but I’m not going to ask any questions.
Bet #5 – Nick Suzuki o2.5 Shots (+125)
Both the Canadiens and the Red Wings allow a lot of shots and the Red Wings allowed the 3rd most shots to opposing Centers last year. Suzuki is also the 1C in Montreal.
TLDR – Betting Summary
- Trouba/Hertl o1.5 Shots (+140)
- Kucherov Goal (+140)
- Timo Meier o3.5 Shots (+105)
- Kyle Connor o3.5 Shots (+120)
- Nick Suzuki o2.5 Shots (+125)
