October Summary: +2.49u
Overall, a pretty decent month of October. I sadly lost both of my shot parlays yesterday by 1 shot each, which would’ve put me up anywhere from +5.5u to +8u had one or both of them hit. Alas, they both missed and here we are. Let’s make up for yesterday’s misses and start November with a bang!
Here are today’s plays…
Bet #1 – Hart o29.5 Saves & DeBrusk o2.5 Shots (+213)
Carter Hart has averaged 35.3 saves per game so far this season, hitting over 29.5 saves in 5 of 6 games. The Flyers allow 35.9 shots per game and the Rangers average 36.5 shots per game. I expect the Rangers to have a ton of shots tonight. Jake DeBrusk has been a go-to of mine. He has hit o2.5 shots in 7 of 8 games (87.5%). He also averaged 4 shots per game against the Penguins last season, who are currently allowing 35.2 shots per game.
Bet #2 – Trocheck o2.5 Shots & Marchand o3.5 Shots (+220)
Another go-to of mine, Vincent Trocheck. He has literally been automatic this season, hitting o2.5 shots in 100% of his games. Like I mentioned above, I expect the Rangers to get a boat load of shots tonight, so I am taking Trocheck here. Brad Marchand started his season with 2 goals, 1 assist and 4 shots against the Red Wings. I am hedging myself slightly here, picking both DeBrusk and Marchand. I think at minimum, one of these two hits their shot total.
Bet #3 – Farabee/Rakell o2.5 Shots (+278)
Joel Farabee has been quite good this season, hitting o2.5 shots in 5 of 8 games (62.5%). He is sitting at +130 on DK and is on the top line with Kevin Hayes and Travis Konecny. I like his chances tonight as the Flyers have proved a lot of people wrong so far this season. Rickard Rakell has hit o2.5 shots in 7 of 9 games this year (77.7%). He also averaged 3 shots per game against the Bruins last year, hitting in each of the 3 games against them.
Bet #4 – Stamkos/Bennett o3.5 Shots (+281)
Steven Stamkos has hit o3.5 shots in 7 of 9 games (77.7%). He plays the Ottawa Senators tonight, who have allowed 34.6 shots per game. Sam Bennett has hit o3.5 shots in just 4 of 9 games (44.4%). That is right around his average from last season of 45%. He plays the Arizona Coyotes tonight, who have allowed an average of 36.6 shots per game. I am hoping that playing the lowly Coyotes helps boost Bennett’s shot total tonight
TLDR – Betting Summary
- Hart o29.5 Saves & DeBrusk o2.5 Shots (+213) 1u
- Trocheck o2.5 Shots & Marchand o3.5 Shots (+220) 1u
- Farabee/Rakell o2.5 Shots (+278) 1u
- Stamkos/Bennett o3.5 Shots (+281) 1u
