Olle Lycksell scored twice and Elliott Desnoyers scored the tying goal late in the third period, but the Phantoms fell short Thursday night.
After a game one win over Charlotte where Tyson Foerster scored twice for Lehigh Valley, the Phantoms were looking to close out the series with a game two victory over the Checkers.
Lucas Carlson would have different plans as he beat Sam Ersson late in the second overtime to force a game three, to be played tomorrow night at 7:00pm est.

Elliott Desnoyers, a 2020 fifth round pick of the Flyers, knotted the game late for the Phantoms, his first of the playoffs.
LV has tied it after a miscue and misplayed puck behind Charlotte’s net ends up proving costly.

Bobby Brink, Ronnie Attard, and Tyson Foerster all added assists tonight.
Picked in round two (34 overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Bobby Brink underwent hip surgery in July. He only started skating in January. Brink would appear in 41 games with Lehigh Valley and tally 28 points, 12 goals, and 16 assists. His play has only gotten better as the season progressed and could play a major role for the Phantoms if they make a deep playoff run.
A third round pick (72 overall) in that same 2019 draft, Ronnie Attard picked up his first professional playoff point with an assist. To put it frankly, Attard looks too good for the AHL. I’m not sure he’ll make the Flyers out of camp but he looks out of place at times playing against AHL competition.
Lastly Foerster, picked 23rd overall in 2020, Foerster added an assist to his two goals scored back on Tuesday night. He now has three points in his first two playoff games.
Sam Ersson, a fifth round pick back in 2018 for the Flyers, was an absolute monster in the loss. Even though he allowed five goals, Ersson was much of the reason the game went to overtime to begin with. He bailed the Phantoms out multiple times during the course of both overtimes but was ultimately beaten with just over a minute left to play in the second overtime.
