During today’s 2023 NHL Draft Prospect Quick Hit, we’re talking Dalibor Dv0rsky who plays for AIK in Sweden’s top league, HockeyAllsvenskan.

Born on June 15, 2005, Dalibor Dvorsky is one of the more talked about names ahead of this summer’s NHL Entry Draft. Listed at 6’1, 201lbs, Dvorsky is currently annihilating his competition in the 2023 U18 Tournament. With a four goal game Tuesday, Dvorsky carried Slovakia into a match against Finland which he would score once again to go along with an assist, helping Slovakia advance to the semi-finals.

Russ Cohen of EP Rinkside who was recently on High and Wide Radio had this to say about Dvorsky:

In his age group, he’s really good defensively and he’s ahead of everybody physically.

Plus he’s got a great shot, which again maybe doesn’t translate as much at AIK because he’s playing up in age, asking him to play a more well rounded game.

When he plays in international play, he’s always the best player on his team.

If you’ve watched Dvorsky’s last two games for Slovakia, I think it’s safe to say that Cohen hit the nail on the head. Dvorsky is dominating as a 17 year old, playing against same age competition.

Cohen also mentions Dvorsky’s defensive game and even goes on to say Dvorsky is one of the two best defensive prospects in the draft.

A good, physical center, with a very good defensive game, sounds like the typical Flyers center. But do they have the guts to draft him, asks Cohen.

Dvorsky has a great shot, he has star potential but the question most scouts are wondering is, will his offense match everything else he can do?
